  1. How long before Opera starts enforcing patents? by Mustang+Matt · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Surely Mozilla has copied some of Operas patents right? Tabbed browsing? There's a plugin for gestures. Pop-up blocking?

Will this move force opera to start enforcing patents to preserve it's existance?

The one advantage opera has is that I bet companies with handhelds usually come to opera and say, "Make it work on my device." Whereas just because firefox will run on handhelds, most companies probably don't have an internal team capable of making it work perfectly on their handheld.

I really don't intend this to be flamebait, but instead of bitching that it isn't supported, why not shut up and do it?

So many people proclaiming "Open Source application $X will fail because it doesn't support my favorite feature $Y." Either quit bitching or MAKE THE APP SUPPORT it.
