Desktop Search Engines Compared

nutterButter writes "After Google created a stir with its desktop search engine, other engines gained more awareness in the public eye. Slate did a comparison of them and Google was not their top pick; Copernic was. I tried it - and am quite impressed."

    Considering that Slate is owned by Microsoft, I would think that they are more than a little biased against google, as Google is now a major compeditor for Microsoft.

    Sorry for the flamebait post, but i can proudly say that copernic is a Canada (quebec :):) based company ! :)

    I'm imagining you talking with a crudely-animated head consisting of a circle cut in half, whose top half moves around in an alarming manner whenever you speak.

    Damn, at least Americans are animated *properly*.
