They report on all sorts of innovations happening outside the Google-Yahoo-MSN zone that the press is usually reporting on, including GPS-enhanced searches from University of Maryland, Shape Retrieval and Analysis from Princeton, musical search engine from New Zealand Digital Library Project, and some of the projects that A9 and Ask.com have been working on."

    Sometimes I hold back for fear of troll markdowns.

    No longer.

    We all find them a pain and as all agree then no one will agree to disagree!

    Like being able to search for filetypes or anything with a dot in it! Or boolean, or even the first match containing the word entered!!

    These are pretty major and I can't believe it's not butter.
