Kinnu provides a pointer to this story about India's increasing use of Linux. They mention a battlefield PDA running Linux, making Linux the standard OS for students, and some more about the Simputer.

    "Irregardless" is not a valid word.

    "Ir-" means negation.

    "-less" means "without"

    Irregardless would mean "not without regard".

    It would either be "irrespective" (not respecting) or "regardless" (without regard).

    Why are they using GPL'd software in the military. All the enemy has to do is ask for a copy of the source code (which they are oblidged to produce undr the GPL).

    Granted that this may not apply to the non GPL'ed utilities, but it still opens up the base OS for hacking/Cracking....
