European Software Patent Update at LWN
Adhoc writes "LWN has a nice clear summary of the current patent situation in the EU. Since concerned folk in the EU should take action soon, the nice folks at LWN made the article available for free to non-subscribers a week early. Also contains some interesting information the way the EU Parliament works."
Get a grip. Companies don't want to "enslave the people". That's bad for business. They want to make money.
Lay off on the coffee...
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.
I'm glad it's the EU's business now. My country (Hungary) would've given in easily to the big corps and we'd have software patents already. At least now there's a second chance to avoid patents.
