mithridate writes "The Voice over IP Security Alliance has been formed to "fill the void of VoIP security related resources through a unique collaboration of VoIP and Information Security vendors, providers, and thought leaders." From the article: "They aim to counteract a range of potential security risks in the practice of sending voice as data packets, as well as educate users as they buy and use VOIP equipment. An e-mail mailing list and working groups will enable discussion and collaboration on VOIP testing tools."

    is a VoIP 911 alliance. Before regulators bring their heavy hands down on the vendors.
