Making the Most of Your Halo 2 RSS Feed

Keldog writes "CarnageStats.com is a web based service that takes the RSS feeds that Bungie so lovingly gave to Halo 2 gamers and does advanced aggregation and storing of this data so gamers can find their strong points, weak points, or just have a centralized place for their bragging rights. The site offers detailed breakdowns of stats by map, game category and game type. Filters allow you to see your performance by ranked, unranked and clan games. There is even a leader board for several different stats (Win %, Kill/Death Ratio, Total Kills, etc.)"

Haven't most multiplayer videogames been offering statistical breakdowns like this for years?

I don't think anyone has ever offered it as an RSS feed though.

Yes they have for PC games, although not this centralized and in depth. As well, they havent had them easily accessible and exportable to other tools. The other amazing thing about this is that they get all your info from a CONSOLE game. Like the previous poster said, they took an already existing idea, and made it 10X better. Hats off to bungie.

Many games have had statistics as in depth try this one.

Bungies made a good game props to them. But they didn't innovate that much. Their like Blizzard, they make good polished games by learning fromt he mistakes of the innovators. Their rarely innovators themselves.

Is it more detailed and centralized than Unreal Tournament's (the original) system? I couldn't find an example of what you get from carnagestats, so I can't answer this myself. NetGames USA (the company that provided stats for UT) is now owned by MS, so you can't get anything from them either, but there are some example availible though. Here's one for the last game played, and all time human totals

Lame? I dunno about that. I've seen many tools for viewing video game stats (which truely is the only way to improve your skillz) and this one is the best I've found. Glad to see someone has decided to do this for Halo 2.

Well, except for the fact that this story has already been done on Slashdot anyway. There are a lot more Halo 2 stats sites than just this one too, including, as an example Haloader, which works pretty well.
