Migrate Win32 C/C++ Applications to Linux
An anonymous reader writes "This series of articles helps you migrate your Win32 C/C++ applications to Linux on POWER. Win32 C/C++ Apps to Linux Part-1 of this series covers the Win32 APIs mapping to Linux on POWER regarding the initialization and termination, process, thread, and shared memory services. Win32 C/C++ Apps to Linux Part-2 illustrates how to map Win32 to Linux with respect to mutex application program interfaces (APIs)."
I don't have any programing skills or anything, but does this relate to porting win32 applications to run in Linux?
And no, I couldn't give a shit what my karma is.
Wouldn't it be smarter to move apps to OS X?
It's either on the beat or off the beat, it's that easy.
I moderate therefore I rule!

I suppose it ran as slow and resource intensive as it did on windows?
...and that is all I have to say about that.

Admit it already. Seriously, there is not a single distribution truly ready for production much less commercial/personal effort. AND half the applications in any given distribution are broken and don't work right, requiring a serious amount of technical knowledge to configure. Sure the folks at MIT may be able to save a few pennies but the rest of us are stuck with Windows...
Together we can put the LID on Linux.
