    I don't have any programing skills or anything, but does this relate to porting win32 applications to run in Linux?

    Wouldn't it be smarter to move apps to OS X?

      Why the hell would it be smarter to "move apps to OS X"?
      Because unlike Linux, customers will actually pay for the OS X software, funding your time/effort and making it worthwhile for you to develop even more good software for that platform. Also I suspect there are more serious Mac users out there. Think of all the multimedia people and Engineers who use Macs because of the power. (I'm not a Mac nut, btw)

    Admit it already. Seriously, there is not a single distribution truly ready for production much less commercial/personal effort. AND half the applications in any given distribution are broken and don't work right, requiring a serious amount of technical knowledge to configure. Sure the folks at MIT may be able to save a few pennies but the rest of us are stuck with Windows...

    Together we can put the LID on Linux.
