MIT Certifies Biological Engineering Major

The real question is what course number will it be?
Without the concept of a soul being in the embryo, how can one feel pity/sadness for something that is only comprised of energy and matter, a conglomeration thrown together through the randomness of evolution and chance?
Without the concept of a soul, how can one feel pity/sadness for any organisms, including humans, that are only comprised of energy and matter, a conglomeration thrown together through the randomness of evolution and chance? After all--no matter how they're perceived by the particular organism--pain, anguish, cognition and the like are merely electrochemical processes.
