PGP Moving To Stronger SHA Algorithms

PGP Corp. is moving to a stronger SHA Algorithm (SHA-256 and SHA-512) as consequence of the research conducted by the team at Shandong University in China who broke the SHA-1 algorithm. (See this earlier story for more information on the SHA-1 vulnerability.)

    Why look for intermediate solutions when you can go directly to the security mecca of Redmond.

    I think that you will find that PHP is a scripting language, and the thing you meant to troll about is called PGP. Strong encryption is something that is not (very) hard to acheive if you have the proper minds working on it. I bet these Chinese folks could come up with their own if they tried. So, you see, terrorists and whatnot will still be secure even if normal people can't protect their privacy. In conclusion, I think I have answered my first (and second) questions: you are indeed an idiot!
