NVIDIA's Socket 775 Core Logic Coming Soon

Hack Jandy writes "NVIDIA dominates a large percentage of AMD chipset sales already, and next week they will reportedly make the announcement to pursue Intel based platforms as well. NVIDIA's General Manager claims March 1st (during the Intel Developer Forum) will be the date the world gets to see NVIDIA's SLI chipset running on a Socket 775 Intel motherboard."

I hardly doubt you'd be able to understand nor make better Nvidia's drivers.. if you need to compile linux drivers for each linux platform, then there is something clearly wrong with linux's driver model..

you sir are a linux zealot, your blinded by the GPL FUD. GPL is a good thing yes, but not everything should be open source.. Given that Drivers are a sensitive issuse with Nvidia and ATI, I hardly think that they'll release their code anyway as it'll make clear to those that'll possibly understand parts of the code base about the cheating in the drivers (Application specific optimizations).
