god damn what a gay post
Nice troll.
Shop as usual. And avoid panic buying.
I just installed the Sun StarOffice beta, and typed something like, "Wow -- this looks nicer than OpenOffice, and it looks like a better competitor to Microsoft Word..."
The program then underlined the word "Microsoft," as if I'd misspelled something. I right-clicked, and got a drop-down menu suggesting the words, "microvolt," "microcosm," "microdot," etc. -- anything but Microsoft.
Funny, you say?
No, it's not -- it's fucking stupid and juvenile.
This is "Exhibit A" in why so many people, to this day, think the whole Linux/Open Source movement consists of a bunch of childish hacker/anarchists who don't really give a shit about consumer end user wants or needs, as long as they're bashing Microsoft -- and yes, Slashdot all too often falls into this category.
For the record, I do use Linux, and I have my own issues with Microsoft, but for fuck's sake, guys -- grow up.
