alex simonelis submitted a good summary of the major internet bodies. If you hunger to know the difference between ICANN, IETF, ISOC and the rest of the alphabet soup of the governing bodies that make our beloved internet possible, this is a great place to look. It covers 10 major organizations.

    Interestingly, their entry in Wikipedia is longer than that of either ICANN, IETF, or the ISOC (although ICANN does come close).

    Heres a joke for you

    The GNAA , RIAA and MPAA are all in a boat , And then the Boat gets a torpedo in the rear , It exploades horribly killing all on board and drowning the anyone not burnt to death , as it sinks to the depths ... Ok this is not really a joke but i thought it may cheer you up
