NPO Mozilla China Launched

rebron writes "Mozilla Foundation, in coordination with ISCAS and ERI, announced the launch of www.mozilla.org.cn and the creation of Mozilla China, a non-profit organization to help develop, promote, and deploy Mozilla products in China. The launch of Mozilla China follows similar international affiliate programs Mozilla Europe and Mozilla Japan. The Mozilla China project has been spearheaded by the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCAS) and the Sun (China) Engineering and Research Institute (ERI)."

    Well, the only article link is in Chinese. Which begs the question now: is Slashdot just a bunch of white guys?

      I don't think you can deduce that /. is a bunch of white guys simply because people don't comment on an article that's written in Chinese. You could speculate that most Slashdotters don't speak Chinese, however. You could also base that assumption on the fact that it's an English-language Website.

      That's a good point. It could also be pointed out that, of the two links provided, I missed the English language one entirely. So, I guess I didn't really read TFP either. Whoops.

    Can't such big free software projects also support some noble goals, for example the one stated above?
