    You bet I don't have the codec installed? Way to insult me. I have divx, xvid, and many other non-standard codecs installed. Besides that, I specifically said that I had tried to play it in XBMC on my Xbox, which comes with a DivX-playing codec. The page did indeed say it was a divx-encoded avi file which should play in just about anything. It doesn't play in much of anything except I finally tried mplayer (on windows, no less) and got it to play there.

    The guy who made the AVIs fucked up somewhere. I have the absolute-latest DivX codec for windows installed.

    It works with some alternative codec pack but not the officially-packaged divx driver, so the AVI is fine? Nice logic there. I'll have to remember that one next time I have something totally incompatible that works when you stand on your head and whistle Denis Leary's asshole song and I'm trying to sell it to someone.
