It should be a great version.. Thanks KDE development team.
Look here zealots. You have your work cut out. Let the GNOME/KDE flames begin.
I'm still waiting and using the e17 window manager, let's see when the "usable" releases will come.

Jeez, people get modded down for stating valid opinions now?
or some similar message. Something that I can't fix. Running KDE 3.2 and previously 3.1, this is the first time I've actually considered looking at Gnome instead.
I've tried googling, I've looked at the kde bugs pages quite a few times, I've asked on irc kde-user, kde-something else, kde-one more, multiple times on each at different times of day different days, I've searched the kde user list, other kde lists, lists of various distros, through at least 500,000 emails and probably closer to a million if I include all the list archives, and nothing.
dcop keeps crashing, I know temporary workarounds to restart kde (kdeinit) but there remain unresolved problems because some processes belong to the old dcop or I close them and lose where I am, its just a workaround not resolving the problem.
I've even gone as far as uninstalling and reinstalling kde after deleting all config files and starting fresh and the problem just hit me again today after about a week of normal running.
Problem normally shows up when opening a new tab on konqueror after having many tabs open or opening and closing many tabs over a few days or more. Get the error, then new tabs can't open, can't start a new konqueror window from kicker panel, etc. rm'ing and kdeinit'ing works ok normally, but then have to restart kicker, restart several other processes I know to restart, but not as stable as rebooting, dcop will crash sooner than if rebooting, and other processes (ctrl-f2, ktimer, other kde apps) won't work (some or all, listing from memory).
kde needs to fix this problem, not a workaround. Not for me because I don't care anymore. For others, especially newbies.
