SCO Website Using Groklaw's Content

darkonc writes "It looks like they didn't learn from the BSD debacle (where, having sued Berkley for copyright infringement, AT&T found that they were using BSD code without acknowledging it's source). Groklaw has an article detailing how SCO has documents created by and for Groklaw on their site -- without even acknowledging the source. It seems that the defenders of the holy IP principle have hoisted the skull and bones."

I've been calling out sick from work the past week due to not being able to stop reading all I can about this latest Groklaw vs. SCO drama, so I figured I'd provide some good additional reading material to my fellow female Slashdot readers.

This is a great time to mention the new Tom's Hardware article featuring Groklaw's heart and brain, Pamela Jones. She's a sweet girl who's as intelligent as she is attractive and sits down with the guys from THG to share all the dirt about Groklaw and SCO. The URL to the article is http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050322_0430 01.html.

Also, check out http://www.sco.com/scoip/. It's SCO's answer to Groklaw and they claim that it's "The Right Place for SCO Intellectual Property Information" implying that Groklaw is anti-SCO biased. The contents of the site are legal filings from the following:
    - SCO v. IBM
    - SCO v. Novell
    - SCO v. AutoZone
    - SCO v. Daimler Chrysler
    - Red Hat v. SCO

Enjoy these links and please keep Terry in your thoughts and prayers this Easter weekend.

Everyone who ever produced any intellectual work wants people to steal it and only says otherwise because of the big corporations and Microsoft. All attempts to protect intellectual property rights are totally absurd. Everyone who sues for copyright infringement is a hypocrite.

Many of those documents have been manually transcribed, proof-read and reformatted into HTML or PDF documents by various volunteer members of the FOSS community, on their own time.
You fail to understand an important fact. Someone's labor in producing a piece of information has zero value and they deserve absolutely no compensation unless I deprive them of something physical. There are a couple of websites that adhere to this: website 1, and website 2.
