Government Finishes Internet Study -- 7 years late

djp928 writes "A study commisioned by Congress in 1998 to report on internet traffic has finally been published -- 7 years, two presidents, and one internet boom/bust later. Some of their findings include "DNS is good" and "We should probably have some more TLDs""

    I have a hard enough time getting people to use .net instead of .com on my email address. Too bad someone already took the .com version of my domain else I'd just have that too so people who didn't "get" it could still send me email.

    Hey brainiac, why didn't you just register a .com address that *wasn't* your name. That would accomplish the same thing as if there wasn't a .net.

    It seems really dumb of you to be sitting here complaining that there should be fewer TLDs, when you went and used one *yourself*. It's not like someone made you choose .net... If there were few TLDs you wouldn't even have had that option, and just FYI, you can *still* go register a .com if you want. So wtf is your point???

    And to think, some people actually modded you up like you just made sense or something...

    Thats a bargain. It took between $6 and $10 million to figure out Clinton got head from a fat girl.

    And Congress seemed to care more that Clinton got head from a fat girl than they care about Bush starting a war on deceit (WMD's anyone?)

    Oh yeah, this'll get modded up and down a few times haha

    And if Bush had read a report titled "Bin Ladden Determined to Strike America" we might not have been slapped around on 9/11.

    And if we didnt send billions of dollars to Jews in Isreal, we _definatly_ wouldnt be hated within the Muslim world.
