Crack Found in Shuttle Tank
hpulley writes "The shuttle's new fuel tank, supposedly redesigned to be safer, has a crack in it. Pictures were sent to the manufacturer who decided that it is too small to be worrisome. Hmm, what caused the Columbia disaster, pieces of foam?
Meanwhile, there will be a second shuttle on standby, just in case the first one has problems after being hit by foam, etc. If the first shuttle has a design flaw, what's to say the second one isn't afflicted by the same problem? Won't there be a good chance of them stranding the rescue crew in addition to the original crew? If an aircraft crashes and the redesign to fix it crashes, would you send another of the same type to rescue it? Of course not! The ISS is going to be a smelly, scary place with the regular complement and two shuttle crews onboard and no way home but a Russian Soyuz capsule that isn't slated to launch again until September and has seats for just three..."
Having bought a Dell computer at Wal-Mart, I now everything about the concept of the space shuttle. And I can tell that we should fix this crack ASAP or the shuttle will never succeed in landing on Mars.
Bold statement, smartass. But have you ever bought a Dell computer at Wal-Mart? You know nothing about the space shuttle. Come back when you know programming in XML.
That's not what the guy selling Dell computers at Wal-Mart told me. He said that physical aging aircrafts make the airframe overheat near Mars and explode. I think your friend pilots are full of it, they should learn XML programming before they make fools of themself.
I debated for a long time whether or not I was going to post this. But I feel it's important that Kevin doesn't get away with what he's trying to pull. By most accounts, including an obit Kevin "Klerck" Ealy killed himself on the morning of March 8th, 2005. He supposedly posted his suicide note on LiveJournal. However, I am here to tell you that the person behind Klerck is not dead. I am posting AC because I've used the access that my job provides me (I work IT in a bank in the security department) which could cost me my job. Our bank has branches all over the US and it turns out that Klerck has an account with us.
Here's the interesting thing. After Klerck's supposed suicide, there were a few things that happened to the money in his account. First there was a sizable withdrawl. I imagine this was in preparation for his move. Next, there were a few cancellation of payment actions issued for his domain and a some local ISP that he was using. These transactions occured on March 14th, 17th and 24th. I can only surmise that he was planning to go on a hideout in order to launch the ultimate troll: his suicide. Just to inform you folks as well, Klerck is not Kevin Ealy. I can't reveal his real name because I would jeoprodize my job, but you can rest assured that the obit was not for Klerck, but some poor sod who Klerck happened to know. Klerck probably knew about the young man's problems and was aware that a suicide was imminent.
I would be the first person to be happy that Klerck is really dead. But, alas, this is not the case. Klerck is trying to put himself into the hall of fame for trolls. he is not deserving or worthy because his trolls always have been and always will be stupid. I'm going to keep an ayaon his account for a while, but I think h'es probably ditched it and is trying to live under an assumed identity. Don't let Klerck get glory for this one. As sad as it is, Klerck is not dead. He's heavily trolling and if you bought his suicide, you're a sucker. He's not dead.
How many thousands of people drive over the Golden Gate Bridge every day? And I lived through the 1989 earthquake, and that one DIDNT fall down.
A'int nothin' but a thang.
