Hoary Hedgehog Ubuntu 5.04 Released

It offers the following new features: Simple and fast Installation, live CD's for Intel x86, AMD64 and PPC, GNOME 2.10.1, Firefox 1.0.2, first class productivity software, and X.org 6.8.2. Debian fizzles, Ubuntu shines

Debian should be a giant repository and leave the releases to Ubuntu and Kubuntu. It's been a month and Debian shows little sign of getting the latest Gnome into Experimental much less anywhere else despite the fact Ubuntu packages have been ready for ages.

If I didn't have 4 machines with Debian, I'd be using Ubuntu.

Everybody (that bothers to post here) wants to look 1337. It's no different from the ever changing popular culture, where what's "in" today gets "old" tomorrow.

For me, I'm staying with good ol' Debian.
