Doom Movie Pushed Back to October

I know you're all waiting with breathless anticipation for the Doom film, but GamesIndustry.biz has word that you'll have to wait until October for the U.S. release. From the article: "The film was formerly expected to appear in late June in North America, but Universal's website confirms a report on horror movie website Bloody-Disgusting.com that it has swapped places with George Romero's next zombie movie, Land of the Dead."

hate the 'sponsored link' advertising, used among other places on the article? look for "Universal's website" on the story - now, when you click 'website' on that.. did you except that you'd be taken to universals website, that's where you wanted to go anyways, right? bzz wrong, the sponsored link goes to some domain selling service.

usually they're not a problem but when people are using in them a way that tricks you to link on them they reaaally suck. getting people seriously NOT intrested in buying a domain name is not in the interest of the advertiser either.. i'd expect.

as to the doom movie.. it's just the name that's "doom" and that's pretty much it. why would you even need doom brand if you were doing a movie about it? just call it dooooomed or whatever, the monsters are not going to be from doom anyhow so..
