What Happened to Simputer?

An anonymous reader writes "LinuxDevices.com has published a brief update on the much-heralded Simputer, the Linux-based 'platform for social change' that was intended to bring inexpensive, easy-to-use computers to rural Indian villages. In the last 12 months, only about 4,000 units have been sold -- well below the planned 50,000+ units. Three Simputer models priced from $240 to $480 were introduced by PicoPeta one year ago, whereas the original goal was a maximum of $200. A cost-reduced redesign is reportedly in the works."

    Give it Windows, and it's worth something. LinSux is a steaming pile of some of the shittiest code ever written, and its' users are zealots and homosexuals with no concept of reality.

    yeah dude, but what is average (or percentage) of people that are starving themselves on your come country to those that are not. Are you comparing the U.S government infrastructure that provides these starving families to be equally capable to deal with those issues in comparison to the one of a third world country?? Maybe you have not left your 'home' country and thats why you make uniformed comments in this line of thought... think before posting. The sad part is people like you are running the world...

    do you rember in when they asked the Queen of france before the revolution what should they do about the starving peopulation, just outside her window cause there was not bread, and she answered "well let them have cake" your comment is not any smarter...

    So, can you actually cite an example of Fox News' supposed inaccuracy compared to other channels that accuse the military of targeting journalists or create fake documents in time for the election?

    I love how liberals have just regurgitated the meme that Fox News is biased that they don't even have any examples to offer for it. They just reference it randomly as though it's fact.
