Seagate Unveils High-Speed 120 GB Laptop Drives
Torrey Clark writes "Seagate Technology announced in a press release yesterday that they have started selling notebook drives with Serial ATA technology, in addition to releasing higher-capacity models.
The Momentus 5400.2 drive has a capacity of 120GB, and is available with either SATA or the more common PATA interfaces. Seagate also released an SATA version of their Momentus 7200.1 100GB and 80GB drives, as well as a 120GB Momentus 4200.2, available only in PATA."
Mmmmm fast laptop drives....and since they are Seagate I'd trust they are quiet....
I want one, or five.
Cool. Now when will we see these in the Mac Minis?
My Toshiba laptop (Tecra M3) has a SATA drive, which is also made by Toshiba.
Why is Seagate joining in significant?
I support the Center for Consumer Freedom
You know people have way too much disk space when a SATA drive article only garners three posts after an hour and a half.
Show me on the doll where his noodly appendage touched you.
Just installed a 40 GB for my dad. Speedfan reports a consistent 47 C vs. 39 C for my Hitachi (same 5400 RPM speed and capacity)
It would be wonderful to see mac mini's equipped with those.
