World Intellectual Property Day

Dotnaught writes "The Business Software Alliance wants everyone to know that today is World Intellectual Property Day, 'an initiative to educate young people about how intellectual property rights foster innovation, creativity and economic opportunity.' To mark the occasion, CopyNight, a monthly gathering of people interested in restoring balance in copyright law, is hosting a get-together tonight in various cities throughout the U.S."

So, who wants to be the first to give us a list of all those wonderful inventions that would have never been invented if it wasn't for the copyright law?

The fantasy world where Richard Stallman lives?

This must happen. I'm fed up with people stealing, like, Common Criminals, anything they want. I don't use opensource because its communism, and takes away potential american jobs. I always buy my software, especially from Capitalist companies like the great microsoft. Only the other week I had to sack a member of my development team because they decided to install Eclipse over IntelliJ. Also, i'm fed up of the winers who think the RIAA are doing bad things by going over music thieves. Who will make the music if all music is stolen. I'm very disappointed by USA law, and should have more far reaching arm - especially in other countries. I'm really looking forward to this convention.
