Unless you are severely diabetic (in which case I'm going to feel like a heel), I think your problem is not with the amount of time you have to eat, but with the amount you eat.
Isn't electrical engineering a GREAT profession? Aren't you glad there are SO MANY universities in Montreal supplying thousands of engineers to fill that GREAT DEMAND for engineers!? Engineers are so well respected in society too! And the universities just rake in the money with absolutely no garantees in return!
