Trek Producers Will Provide World A Break

David Crumpton writes "Star Trek Producers have finally agreed that Star Trek fans are oversaturated with the show, and are planning to provide a break. This does not mean they wont bring something new to the screen; they will just wait a few years. They are convinced the ratings dropped due to the show competing against other Trek re-runs."

I'm very excited about this "break"
Much like Ross & Rachel ("Friends") being on a "break", it brought back a breath of fresh air to the show.
I realize that we will be without Star Trek for a couple of months, but hopefully we will get more classic Trek in for ohhhh...July or August...yeah, that's all we need... a three month break.

Remember the TNG episode where all the officers were transformed into Kids? That's great! Let's suggest to B&B that they should remake ALL of the old shows (Ent, TNG, Voyager, DS9) WITH KIDS!

And you don't have to pay kids much so they can spend all that saved money on CGI and sets! How exciting!
I hope B&B read Slashdot and read this message and that they implement my idea right away!

I'm posting as "Anonymous Coward" so that B&B can take full credit for this great idea and Paramount (UPN?) can take appropriate action when B&B walk into the board room with this GREAT idea...

Hopefully, this story will spawn another stimulating Slashdot discussion about how and why Star Trek sucks now and how Berman is an idiot. If we're extra lucky, maybe it can even segue into a discussion about why the old Star Wars was great and the new Star Wars is terrible and how George Lucas has lost it.

And unlike TNG, the original Star Trek was garbage.
