Once, I taped 30 minutes of the theme from the old classic game M.U.L.E.and played it in the cassete deck in my car for a week.

Yeah, I'm with you. "The dawn of audio in games dates back to the 1970, where games like Pong, Asteroids and the board game, Simon, were released. The implementation of Game Music began in the early 1980, where games like PacMan and Donkey Kong used small melodies in completions or endings of the game (McDonald, 2004)."

    They suck.

      They're HUGE.

They shape modern trends and common opinion on pop culture.

They eliminate the little guy whenever possible, to restrict the public's ability to experience media coverage other than their own.

      Yep, they pretty much suck.

Looking forward to the Mario Bros themed mosh pit, complete with bricks and burning barrels.

The magic mushrooms are really popular, too. Except you never know when you'll be reaching for one and Luigi brains you with a big pipe wrench.

It was only a matter of time. Music Industry: We overprice and mass market mostly crap. HEY...games have music...we do music! Wait, what do we know about the market? Nothing...eh, who cares. Throw in some cheesy light show and copy the rest from Dear Friends.

Should be interesting to see what happens to the game industry as more huge (non-game) corporations get involved. Can't see how this is going to be a good thing.
