The thing is, anyone can get a patent. Much like the flower pot guy, quantity of patents does not necessarily mean that the person is the best inventor. Perhaps a better topic would have been the top 10 most productive or innovative inventors.
Dean Kamen gets my vote on both.

Maybe in korea where they also eat dogs but not here...
I would put money on it that they do a bittorrent style downloader. It is working well for blizzard and it has minimal client interface. Now if only my ISP werent blocking it...
agreed. with all the other advancements we have made in aviation, why cant we make some here? look what burt rutan did, practically in his garage too. its rediculous that we havent come up with a more efficient design yet.
Burt Rutan is a great aviator, possibly the best of our time. Unfortunately, i cant see this being a large money maker. Not many people will be able to part ways with $20,000 for an hour long space flight.
well i have been out of the game since a little before eq2 was released. recently, when a few servers combined, i went back in just to check everything out and make sure all my characters were intact. fond memories warmed my heart as i started up the game and logged in, seeing the familiar faces at my character select screen. Then i got on my main, and it went downhill from there. my main was a 45 druid, feel free to flame me about having a low level char despite playing for over 3 years, i played just for fun. So, i log in and i am sitting in splitpaw. appearantly it has been revamped into a 60+ zone. hmmm. results did not go so well, instant death. so i get my corpse because i am also bound in splitpaw, and once i got out decided to show my friend (an EQ2 player who has never seen the wonders and cool sights that eq1 offered) the colony of firiona vie. i ttried to show him the boats because i always thought they were cool and he wanted to see them. gone. so i take the teleporter to FV. now appearantly FV is now occupied by evil people. instant death. recovery of my corpse was not so easy this time, since i was still bound in splitpaw i died as soon as i zoned in. the rest of the corpse recovery was long but uneventful. so i died 3 times in a span of 10 minutes the last time i tried eq1. to top it off, since the bazaar is different, i took my mule out of it and now cannot move back into the zone because i am so over encumbered.
the game has just changed so much, i think it would be really hard for me to go back.
thats what hitler said. anyone else see the paralells with nazi germany and ea? they already invaded poland with all of these licensing deals, they persecute programmers in their labor camps... the resembelance is uncanny.
"...and the rest of us who don't have deep pockets like that are going to have to find some way to compete."
i like to call it gameplay.
i like playing street fighter 2 alpha, super mario world, and dare i say it shaq fu more than i like halo or any other xbox game i have. there is just somthing missing in a lot of these new titles. If one company spent 25 grand and made a solid game that was fun to play it would easily beat out a game that 40 million was spent on that isnt fun. Katamari for example...
ut actually has a pretty beefy processor for what it is. In august there is going to be a programming kit coming out that will be in C. I think it looks pretty cool.
I was going to say the other 5% that was left out was fun. I think that it is a reasonable answer.

he is good, but he is an asshole. V0o is much more professional.

i will chop off all of your precious typing fingers for such blasphemy. even if it was a joke, such things should never be typed.
