Gamespot - Stupid Pants Operation

I don't know why it's on the video page for the upcoming Legend of Zelda game, but Gamespot has up a documentary shot at last year's E3 about their coverage of the event. Clocking in at almost an hour in length, it's an exhaustive and interesting look at all that they have to do to bring the coverage they do during the event. Well worth the time to check it out. (And hats off to those folks for their hard work.)

What's a "Stupid Pants Project"? Can anyone explain what that has to do with a documentary on Gamespot? I could almost make the logical leap if it was a story about how dumb of an idea this documentary was, but the OP seems to appreciate it... so what does this mean?

On of the guys in the video said that "E3 is definitely a 'seat of your pants' operation", meaning like it keeps you on the edge of your seat I think... the guy he was talking with mistook him for saying 'stupid pants operation'.

I wouldn't have pointed it out, but I did watch the video and noticed that part. As someone attending E3 this year for the first time, it was pretty interesting to see how stuff goes on there.
