Spam Blacklist Targets Hijacked Telewest Customers

davidmcg writes "BBC.co.uk reports that UK cable firm Telewest has had almost one million email address blacklisted by an anti-spam firm. The Spam Prevention Early Warning System blacklisted the email addresses because a large number of the machines using them have been hijacked by spammers. Telewest have stated that they knew about the problem and have been working with customers to regain control of their machines."

A great way for an employer to get a graduate without paying them a graduate's salary is to find someone who is willing to drop out of school several semesters short of a degree. This accomplishes several things for the employer. They know that they are basically getting a graduate for a lower salary, but they also know that this person will cost them less over time and that they are less likely to leave because their lack of a degree is a barrier.

Welcome to the job market. To conclude: you're a loser.

Only give out your regular email address to PEOPLE you communicate with.

Use a random yahoo / hotmail / whatever works for you email address for websites that require it for registration purposes.

I've been using my gmail address this way for months now and still haven't had a single incident of SPAM.
