The story also reveals that the previously discussed rumor about Halo 3 parrying the PS3 launch is accurate.
Why is Japanese support thought to be so critical for consoles? Just because they have controlled the marketplace since the mid-80s doesn't mean that there's some magical juice that makes Japanese games or hardware better than American ones. If anything, we should be supporting Microsoft for taking back the industry from overseas instead of declaring that they will fail because they don't have Japanese developer support.
