Why not pure Itanium-III chip (without x86-emulation-in-hw) + Pentium-M chip in one system?
In my opinion, i think that Apple doesn't want to buy slow emulator VirtualPC, he wants to buy Intel chips (Pentium-M) to port many winapplications like M$ Office, Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer,...
your absolutely correct. as professional graphic designer, who was taught on Apple systems in 1990, pagemaker was still the bomb. Macpaint, while crappy compared to photoshop 2.0, was still perfectly usable and the mouse is what made it even possible.
