Sirius in Negotiations With Apple

An anonymous reader writes "Sirius Satellite Radio Chief Executive Mel Karmazin announced that his company is in talks with Apple about bringing satellite radio to the iPod. Karmazin met with Steve Jobs Monday and he says the technology is the easy part. The hard part is negotiating just how they will split the profit from equipment and monthly subscriptions." We've covered this before, but now it seems they are getting "more Sirius," or something.

I am not really so interested in a personal MP3 player. I think I must be the only person in my market demographic who is not.

But... a combination portable hard drive and satellite radio player? That sounds much more interesting. Include some kind of PVR-like ability to record satellite radio shows to iPod and dump them into iTunes later, and holy crap, I'm there.

Oh please. "I glad someone got it." Sheesh. Spare us the sob story of your modding woes.

You must realize that if you come on slashdot and say idoitic things people will assume you are an idiot. You may not be, but there's plenty of the genuine article out there. Using occam's razor, if someone posts an idiotic remark, then which is more likely? a) an idiot posted it, b) an intelligent person posted it trying to be funny but completely forgot to include any humor or at least an indication that they were being sarcastic. If we take b) and presume an intelligent person, then we have a contradiction. If this person were truly intelligent then surely they would realize that their post would be misconstrued, and modify it to actually include some humor, or at least a smiley to indicate a joke. But the person in question didn't realize that, so they must not be that bright, and hence a) is more likely.

In conclusion, you are an idiot. Proof by contradiction. Have a nice day. :-)
