Helicopter Lands top Mount Everest

FlyByPC writes "The Eurcopter team has succeeded in landing a helicopter on Everest and returning safely to base, setting another ultimate aviation milestone -- for highest-altitude takeoff and landing. Interesting pictures of Lukla airfield, as well -- essentially a runway carved out of a mountainside."

    and they're..Fucking weak.

    Yes this is pathetic, why anyone bothered I'll never know, but more amazing than that, others treat it like news, and /. posted it on the front page.

    I really don't see the point, or how this is a great accomplishment.

    People summitting Everest without oxygen = badass.

    Helicopter doing touch-n-go on summit = weak.
