Mario and Zelda Cartoons on DVD
Captain Lou Albano's wild and staring eyes can once again grace your television set, with the upcoming release of the Super Mario Brothers Super Show, Mario cartoons, and Zelda cartoons. Press the Buttons has the details. From the article: "...the complete series of the 1989-90 cartoon/live action programs The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Friday special The Legend of Zelda are headed to DVD this coming October in 4-volume and 3-volume sets respectively. A "best of" Super Mario DVD has been available for some time, but die-hard fans out there can now finish off their collections."
Do the Mario
Sung by Lou Albano
Do the Mario!
Swing your arms from side to side,
Come on, it's time to go, do the Mario!
Take one step, and then again,
Let's do the Mario, all together now!
You got it!
It's the Mario!
Do the Mario!
Swing your arms from side to side,
Come on, it's time to go, do the Mario!
Take one step, and then again,
Let's do the Mario, all together now! Come on now, just like that!

Oh wow. I remeber when I was 6 or 7 living in rural Georgia ordering these on VHS tape in the scholastic magazines we got at school. I still have about 6 or 7 of those tapes.
;)
Too bad now when I watch them it is painful animation, dialog, and situation comedy
There is nothing wrong with being gay. It's getting caught where the trouble lies.
Never been released on DVD? That, my friend, is where you are wrong!
Goo goo g'joob.
Noooooooooooooooooo!
Seriously, that cartoon was awful. Abysmal. Abhorrent. Actively painful to watch. And that's just the As. We're not talking normally bad, here. It's not even Eye of Argon bad. Oh, no, this is Star Wars Christmas Special bad: if you watch them, you will regret it.
I found a collection of episodes on the 'net, and as a die-hard Zelda fan, downloaded them. I want that segment of my life back. The only thing I got out of the experience was a migraine.
Learn from my mistake. Do not watch those cartoons. Go and buy a copy of Ulysses 31 instead. Trust me.
