mattspammail writes "DivX 6.0 is out. Even Tom's Hardware has an article on it. According to TFA, this should be a big step up in compression and features. DVD-style menus are now an option."

    * Only Windows Media Player-compatable.
    * New proprietary container format.
    * New proprietary codec (ie, it's not MPEG-4/AVC)
    * Still not as good as XviD or x264
    * No Mac version.
    * Paid upgrade.
    * DRM-friendly.
    * Buggy activation scheme.
    * "Pro" version not licensed for commercial use.
