Neverwinter Walks The Plank

Seen via Gamespot, news of a new Neverwinter Online Module at the Bioware Community Store. Entitled Pirates of the Sword Coast, the new module offers up "[a] tale of pirates, parrots, and peril! As a sailor aboard the Midnight Rose merchant ship, you've stopped in Neverwinter to gather supplies before a long trip south. A most peculiar course of events follows, slowly unraveling a plot of whale-sized proportions. Embark on a swashbuckling journey on the high seas. Polly want adventure?"

    It's news to me. A friend of mine was also a die hard NWN fan, looked like a good RPG game and engine but I was involved in other games at the time. I might want to check it out now. There are very few titles out there Pirate themed.

    As to why it's news... It's about a NEW module for a popular title. Just because it happens to be about a product that you have to purchase doesn't mean it's spam or some subversive advertising. Nerly every freacking article posted to games.slashdot.org is about a gaming product, do you get this bent out of shape every time a story about a new game is announced on Slashdot? I for one would most likely not have found this information on other sites, probably because I don't read other gaming sites very often because Slashdot does a fine job of bringing me the top tier of gaming news.
