Treo 650 Hacked: Dial-Up Networking via Bluetooth

AndersBrownworth writes "The standard Treo 650 doesn't support Dial-Up Networking over Bluetooth, but Shadowmite figured out that they just hid the option, so he hacked up an un-crippled version. Trevor Harmon shows you how to get DUN over Bluetooth working and now my new PowerBook can get on the net from anywhere!"

This is not news for nerds. Real nerds remember when this happened long ago. Long ago this was cool, now its a real supported feature.

So... Slashdot really seems to not be "News for Nerds" anymore as much as it is "News for the Lazy Dork Editors of This Site". I wish they'd keep up with tech news a little better. There are much more current and useful tech sites these days. The only thing that makes Slashdot worth viewing is the volume of comments. The users make the site. Its too bad the people who run it don't give a shit.
