Owner of the Word Stealth 'Protecting' Rights

popo writes "Just when you thought ownership of intellectual property couldn't get any more absurd: The New York Times is reporting that the word 'Stealth' is being vigorously protected *in all uses* by a man who claims to exclusively own its rights. Not only has he gone head to head with Northrop Grumman, he has pursued it vigorously in the courts and has even managed to shut down "stealthisemail.com" (Steal This Email.com) because the URL coincidentally contains the word "stealth". What's terrifying is that he's gotten as far as he has."

      Are the mods serious that the parent is a troll???!!! It's an expression of freedom of speech using a word that has existed since 1250 A.D.! Stealth stealth stealth and stealth.

      There are indeed some really messed up mods out there. Maybe I should have worded "StealthStealthStealth" better as in "Stealth, Stealth, Stealth." Perhaps it was one of those spelling critical people or someone who thinks it is their duty to enforce this whole "stealth" restriction. Or just maybe they are using this "stealth" thing as a means to give them the ability to justify their ever need to label a post as a troll to put someone down and make theirself seem a little better.

      First, yes, the mods are serious. If Karma Whore was an option it would have been used instead.

      Second, keep your hippy free speech crap to yourself. You may think what you have to say is interesting but I don't. Plus you have teh stinky.

      Thrid, My prediction is that you get modded offtopic for being an off topic mf.
