    This is neither news nor is it anything that matters. The core of the problem isn't ID management, it never was. It's application support for linux, which is pretty much non-existant in most fields.

    There's 3 types of Linux

    1) Desktop distros
    2) Server distros
    3) BS distros that don't work

    Gentoo falls firmly into category 3.
