    iTunes is DRM'ed and NOT MP3 so you are forced to use an iPod or another hardware that read that format.

    I want MP3 so i can use it in my MP3 player, and in my car and in my DVD player.

    I don't see anything anywhere in the link about Apple's 500,000,000th song. It says "Over 430,000,000 sold", and that's the closest I can find on there.
