elzurawka wrote to mention a BBC article discussing Microsoft's boost in profits as a result of an upswing in PC demand. From the article: "The company announced record revenue of $39.79bn for the fiscal year ending on 30 June, an 8% increase over the $36.84 billion reported last year. An 8% increase yielding 39.79 billion implies that the revenue was 36.84 billion, meaning that 8% is 2.94 billion, meaning that the 8% increase is *not*, in fact, greater than Apple's total revenue of 3.52 billion.
