RSS Version 3 Specs Up for Review

Jonathan Avidan writes "The RSS 3 Homepage now offers its first publicly available specification, the RSS 3 Lite-type Specification First Draft, intended for review and commenting for revision. RSS 3 is a reworking of RSS 2.0, filling the gaps and removing unnecessary features and is fully backwards-compatible, rather than a new format."

    from the we'll-be-supporting-atom-in-a-few-weeks dept.

How about instead of dropping bits and pieces like going to atom and css, you post an article to your own site and let your readers know what is going on?

I know you're probably busy maintaining slashdot with such high journalistic standards, but it'd be nice if you actually let people know what's slashdot's been up to.

Oh, and maybe you can updated your FAQ, that thing is ancient and outdated .

As a prominent blogger in the blogosphere I think that this will be useful in my blogquests over the blogosphere. Really Simple Syndication allows my readers to be constantly aware of my latest blog happenings, like when I eat, sleep, or poop. We are truly entering the age of demblogracy or as I like to call it, blogocracy.
