Creative Zens Ship with Worms
An anonymous reader writes "Engadget reports about 3700 Creative Zen "Neeons" shipped with a virus. The virus in question was the W32.Wullik.B@mm worm. Creative released a statement today to help consumers pinpoint the possibly effected devices."
...is that your windows pc can get infected also only by buying and using a portable digital music player. Now that sounds like fun, doesn't it :) Flame me below a frog's behind, I'm still having fun with this :P
I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I can think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.
And ignore the ipods superior OS and interface.
AFAIK, no current operating system is both usable and provides adequate protection mechanisms against viruses.

Please correct me if I got my facts wrong.
You did get your facts wrong.

Last time I attempted to buy one of their product from that line I ended up returning it because it was too bulky and it crashed while playing music... as far as I know Creative always had issues, even in the old DOS days their drivers used more memory than SB 16 compatible cards from small vendors... GGGRRRRrrr more rescently installing drivers for cards from the audigy series with the provided disk forced you to stare at the screen 10 minutes thinking the installer frose and watching publicity for other crappy Creative Labs prducts... when you went to their web site to download an up to date version they treated you like shit by putting you in a download queue for what seemed to be a very long time back then... oh and I forgot the time when they crippled their win98 drivers with some spyware that crashed all the time... gosh how come they are still in business? well some people insist on believing they are the only way to get descent sound out of a PC...
My impression has been that portable audio devices don't use a standard USB Mass Storage interface or similar because of DRM.
DRM makes everything it touches suck more.
If you're running a script as root, you're the idot who doesn't understand what root means.
Go away.
