GM Claims Advanced Cruise Control By 2008

From the article, "The car uses updated technology combined with several existing innovations and, according to the manufacturer, could be in production by 2008.     M0d me down, up, off-topic whatever, but I never go out of my head a story by Asimov, I think, called The Wheels Must Roll. It was all about a public conveyance that simply rocked (and rolled.) Anybody remember more about it? I googled the name and surprisingly didn't find much. I want that system!
