Anti-Virus Protection For Your Cell Phone

spect3r writes "BBC Tech reports that F-Secure, a Finnish security firm has created a software program to combat the increasing number of viruses that manage their way into cell phones. Although not as robust as your mainstream virus scanners for the PC, the software promises to protect bluetooth enabled handsets (the most vulnerable type) from most of the current types of virus software, such as Cabir or Commwarrior. F-Secure said that it's boxed anti-virus software for mobiles will be in the shops and available online from 5 September." From the article: "Mobile viruses such as Cabir and Commwarrior can spread via the Bluetooth short range radio system found on many smart phones. Commwarrior can also spread via multimedia messaging systems. Most of the mobile phone viruses target handsets that use the Symbian operating system. Infection can be avoided by turning off Bluetooth on smart phones. "

      Emily is a Web Developer and a second year Houston Texans Cheerleader who has always loved to dance. As a little girl she wanted to be a prima ballerina but quickly changed her mind as soon as she saw the Solid Gold Dancers. Ah, how the glitz and glamour caught this little one's eye.
      Her father was a pilot in the Air Force so by her fourteenth birthday, Emily had lived in Nebraska, California, Japan, Germany and then back to California before finally settling down in Houston. All of this moving around has made her family very close and given them a "stick together no matter what" mentality. Her fondest memories are of performing in dance recitals with her sister, acting in Japanese commercials with her brother and traveling across Europe in the family's RV. Emily's green eyes light up and she giggles as she says, "If a movie was made about my life it would definitely be a comedy!" Everything from getting robbed in Italy, to the RV catching on fire somewhere in the south of France, to the time they drove about half a mile down a narrow mountain pass in Switzerland only to find that the road dead ended with no possible way to turn around. Sorry Mr. Chase, but The Griswald's European Vacation is no match for this family's travels.

      Emily's mother, an avid art buff, made sure that if there was a museum or architectural landmark within 100 miles they would go. This must have paid off because Emily has received national awards in art and design and earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Southwest Texas State University.

      She enjoys her busy lifestyle and recently got engaged to her best friend, a fellow computer nerd who piqued her interest three years ago when he randomly quoted a line from one of her favorite childhood movies, Spaceballs.

      Emily, an enthusiastic sports fan, loves being a Houston Texans Cheerleader and admits that it's "way cooler than she could have ever imagined." Very cool indeed. Emily has had the great honor of pinning a Purple Heart on a wounded soldier, appearing in a commercial that debuted during the SuperBowl and was chosen as the 2004 Houston Texans Cheerleader Magazine cover girl.

      So while the Solid Gold Dancers may be just a memory, the Houston Texans Cheerleaders are here to stay, and Emily is extremely proud to be a part of their legacy.
