Refilling Ink Cartridges Now a Crime?
Eric Smith writes "The Ninth Circuit has created box-wrap patent licenses. Now the label on the box that says "single use only" is given force of law, and if you refill the cartridge you are liable for patent infringement."
where it is a crime to save the environment. It is sad to realize, though, who is really responsible for that outrageous law: The People, that's who. I am just disgusted.

It's governments duty to restrict the power of corporations which is where you got your antitrust laws. (Via JD Rockefellers standard oil... paradoxically even through JDR's standard oil was the equivalent to todays micro$oft, his philanthropy has made a HUGE difference to medical research and education... so was the bad worth the good??)
but I look at the USA now, and feel genuine sadness of what is happening to a once great country.
Your foreign debt is unsustainable and you are almost at the mercy of foreign Asian banks.
You have destroyed your manufacturing base so now even your two once great car manufacturers have their debt rated at junk.
You are trying to support your petro dollar (ie keeping oil priced in USD) through incursions into Arab countries alienating you from the Muslim world. (and peeving off Europe)
You have your worst ever natural disaster, and from abroad we either think you are a) incompetent in your response, or b) still racist of the poor in the south.
You have a looming unfunded social security nightmare.
Last time I was in New York, I thought.. man the public facilities are looking run down...
What's happening USA??? Believe it or not, you guys hold the world finances together... and it looks like your about to blow it!!
