Ebay Rumored to be Buying Skype
JDStone writes "Rumor has it that trusted sources from The Wall Street Journal say Ebay is interested in buying Skype. Later after the announcment, Ebay Inc. shares fell 4.3 percent."

See, there we have the problem: Jane Random-Webwhore "blogging" about how great (or graet, as they tend to say) Google{OS,Browser,FaceliftForHerHorseface} is, is not newsworthy.

Program named *cough* "Skype", is from people who wrote *cough* "Kazaa", *cough* "Gator" and other spyware ventures. "Kazaa", if you dont know, is the illegal follower to Napster, music sharing program that virtually killed the music recording industry and unlike Napster was not stopped yet. "Gator" the ultra annoying spyware that is responsible for indentity theft, bank accout looting and other nasty things connected to "login&password" steels in the United States. So you got the picture.
.. and the rest is known.
The sole purpose of "Skype" was to be a perfect spyware (thats why they made it available for free), just like "Kazaa" and other "free" software of this origin. The whole "voice over IP" functionality was a side feature, but the perfect feature for any spyware, because it will get the green-light on the firewall, making it the best "setup" for the actual functioning of undelying spyware engine.
Now comes the funny part. The authors were actually surpriced of the success they made, they filled the "hole" in the VOIP-phone market, by accident, one day so many people started using "Skype" over commercial programs and lines from Vonage, BellSounth etc. oops, and business people were impressed. They also named their "business" right, "Skype" (kinda respectable), so even Wallstreet people were dragged-in, Cramer was crying over Skype on his RealMoney show and cheering them in public, giving them even more publicity. LOL?
World is upside down. "Skype" is celebrated, bids in billions of $$$ for the company of the "good" spyware people. I really laugh loud sometimes but this one makes really big LOL.
