Dell Launches Flash Music Player
desert island writes "Dell launched a new flash-memory digital music player, named DJ Ditty, to compete with the iPod Shuffle. Both devices are $99 and come equipped with 512 megabytes of memory. The biggest difference between the devices is the Ditty's 1-inch LCD display screen, which helps users navigate their music lists. In addition, the Ditty can receive FM radio and sport a rechargeable lithium polymer battery that can provide up to 14 hours of continuous play."
Yes, huge improvement. Unfortunately, there are a few problems.
I could go on, but we are not seeing a serious commitment to web standards here. Too bad they didn't follow the lead set by A List Apart.

> Slashdot looks sweet this morning.
You have GOT to be kidding me?
Slashdot is one of the most dated and ugly looking websites that still has visitors. It still has cheesy drop-shadows under the icons and rounded corners (very 1990s).
I can't believe they've rewritten all the HTML and CSS and made it look exactly the same or even slightly worse (there are many glitches when viewed in Firefox).
Sure it's a great and very popular site, but the site *design* is in serious need of updating.
You think abstinence-only programs have been a success in AIDS-ravaged Africa? Hahaha!--your ignorance is so sad, so profound, what can one do but laugh?
(For your own sake, you better not try to cite the "triumph of abstinence education" in Uganda, where in fact dropping "condoms" from "ABC" has served to boost infection rates that had been plummeting for two decades. It's repugnant to all humanity that ignoramuses such as yourself should feel morally superior in your enthusiastic support of abstinence-only policies proven, time and time again, to lead to more infection, deeper poverty, and a lower quality of life. Enjoy Hell.)

Since when does working with chickens give you the right to tell me about style?
Take it from me, I bag a different chick almost every night.
Except for those days your at the doctor?
