SSH Claims Draw Open Source Ire
JDStone writes to tell us eWeek is reporting that claims of OpenSSH not being an 'enterprise-class product' by SSH Communications, the creators of SSH, is being met with a great deal of resistance. Theo de Raadt, of OpenBSD fame and a member of the OpenSSH development team was quoted saying "OpenSSH is built into all Unix and Linux vendor operating systems, and is also built into almost all larger managed network switches, from Cisco through Foundry. It comes on Linksys and D-Link wireless and security routers too."
That's like saying Klingon and Elivish aren't really languages! That's ridiculous!
I call Karma troll on your post.
And if you find this post annoying, just think about this: I would not have replied if I had mod points, simply modded down. Two years ago I got mod points every couple days. Now I haven't got mod points in over two years. And I am regularly modded up, with one or two over-rated mods after a post gets modded sky-high being the only negative moderation I've recieved. When I recieved mod points, I never moderated out of anger or because I didn't agree with somone: a great majority of moderations I made were positive to posts I found insightful and informative, so I don't see how I got hit in M2. So, Slashdot's convoluted system for moderation has essentially forced me to flame the OP here, in what I feel is the closest thing to a troll I have ever made. Way to go Taco et al.
Axe body spray doesn't get you laid
So, what you're saying is that I should take a shower after butchering my victims if I want to go hit the clubs tonight, right?
"We returned the General to El Salvador, or maybe Guatemala, it's difficult to tell from 10,000 feet"
Care to elaborate?
